Welcome to my third post !! This week has been busy, but we still went to the gym to achieve our goals!!! This week, we did a lot of skipping and basic pad work. Honestly, this week wasn't terrible, and I've been pretty consistent with going. I will say my body felt a lot better this time around.  This week, I learned how quickly the body adapts to a schedule, even to workouts. Like I said before, this week went a whole lot better. Some of the troubles I had this week were that I had a little cold, but it still didn't keep me from going. I would also say the snowstorms we have been having here have been crazy. I honestly can't wait for the snow to go away. I think for the next genius hour I would like to start matching my eating with my excercise an see how much that helps. Do you guys think eating better will help me ?. From here, we continue our journey.
Welcome to week one of my genius hour! I’d like to start by saying that the hardest part so far has been getting to the gym. The weather has been terrible, and honestly, it has destroyed my motivation (we're talking 10 to 0 real quick). It didn’t stop me; we still made it to our first session.  During this first week, I learned a lot about myself, mainly that I’m very out of shape. For the next class, I think the most important thing I need to focus on is consistency. Everything takes time, and it won’t always feel this hard, so I need to cut myself some slack. Like I said before, the hardest part is showing up and I did that.  One question I have for myself is, how long will it take before I notice any improvement in my cardio? I guess I’ll have to stick with it and find out. Overall, week one was humbling, sweaty, and slightly painful! But it’s only...
Welcome to my very first blog post! I’m so glad you’re here. This space is something I’ve been excited to create! I’m looking forward to sharing my ideas, and experience with you.  My guiding question is how will completing one hour of kickboxing for six consecutive weeks affect my personal well-being. I chose this topic because I wanted to try something outside mt comfort zone and learn something I never thought I would try. Through this project, I want to challenge myself and show others when you put your mind to something, you can accomplish anything you set out to do.   What I’m hoping to find out during these six weeks of kickboxing is how kickboxing affects my mental wellbeing and confidence, how my energy levels and motivation change over time, whether stepping outside my comfort zone helps me improve myself discipline, and if this is an activity I would want to continue long term.
